Wine cellar at the Hampstead Hideaway
This particular room is aspirational on a personal level. We built the extension as a temperature-controlled room and then fitted out the wine cellar part – who doesn’t want their own wine room? It’s definitely one of my life goals!
Shaker style kitchen at the Islington Upgrade (Grade II listed building)
We worked with Harvey Jones Kitchens on this one and Dinesen did the floors. The colours are romantic and I love the juxtaposition between this Grade II listed property and the extension. The shaker style kitchen is sympathetic with the age of the property but then we have the glass doors which were built by Maxlight. The ultra-modern element of the two-meter circular roof lights in the ceiling give it a wow factor and make it something out of the ordinary.
Attic wet room at the Luxury Loft
This was the most challenging bathroom we’ve ever done. The precision-cut of the tiles alone is spectacular – it’s one of those jobs that has a wow factor but unless you’re doing the build you don’t know how much effort went into creating the space. The plans originally called for boxing this room off to make it a rectangle shower room, but once we opened up the loft and revealed the turret, the client was brave enough to go open plan and use the details of the turret to make this a completely unique property. Technically it was a very difficult thing to achieve but the end result is outstanding. It’s an ageless design in its modernity and is a perfect example of how things can change on-site once you start the work. For this job, we were teamed up with Dominic McKenzie Architects.
Master suite at the Artist Retreat
The main focus of this job was to allow the client to open her eyes in the morning and look into her beautiful garden which backs onto what used to be the deer park in Ally Pally. More and more people are turning their bedrooms into a spiritual inner-sanctuary in their homes. We were able to create a small terrace off the client’s bedroom that is completely private. This is a project I feel incredibly proud of and surpassed our client’s expectations. For this project, we teamed up with Andrew Ross from Area Design.
Firepit at the Artist Retreat
This is a prime example of treating your garden area as another room in the house. Having a destination within your garden that feels as comfortable as a room inside your home is an investment worth considering. When the weather is great in the UK, we all want to spend time outside and if you have a fantastic place to socialise as a family within your garden then your life will be better for it. For this project, we teamed up with Andrew Ross from Area Design.
