Here at All Done Design we are very proud to announce that our Managing Director Charlie Avara will be representing females in the construction industry at the London Build ‘Diversity in Construction’ event this week as a Women in Construction Ambassador.
Held at Olympia London on the 16th and 17th November, the London Build event will explore diverse communities working within the construction trade, and discuss the challenges facing LGBT, BAME, and female professionals working within the industry.
Charlie exhibits immense pride and passion in her work and is a great advocate for inclusivity across all women in construction. In her statement for London Build, Charlie highlights her passion, writing:
“We need to showcase women thriving in construction, after all, seeing is believing. From industry leaders’ right through to those teaching construction courses in colleges we need girls to see women carving out careers in the sector. The construction industry is an exciting one to be a part of it. It is constantly evolving and innovating, and we need more women to be a part of this.”
Throughout her involvement in the construction industry Charlie has experienced the lack of diversity associated with the trade first-hand, and now offers advice and support to like-minded women who are interested in kick-starting a career in construction.
It goes without saying that Charlie is a fantastic role model for women in trade and is very deserving of the Women in Construction Ambassador title. Charlie is looking forward to attending London Build this week and hearing from the diverse line-up of panellists offering industry-advice and guidance. If you’re heading to the event too, make sure to say hi to Charlie if you spot her.
We are beyond proud of Charlie and are looking forward to seeing how she can use her passion to inspire others to follow in her footsteps in the construction industry.
Amazing work Charlie.
